Wednesday, September 9, 2009 Having a birthday today is eventually veryyyy special.
as today is 9th of Sept, which is my birth date. and this year is eventually special as theres a straight row of 3 9s , 090909. Imagine you add in 09:09am in and that would be 0909090909. ok, i know is stupid to add all the 9s in.
Y i found is special today is because today is my birthday, i cant celebrate it peacefully. i'm kind of nervous of the new academy im heading to in the offshore tomorrow therefore, my heartbeat have been pounding faster than usual today.
I didn't really celebrate today too, but i had it ytd with my cliques, and i'd enjoy it alot.
Have to update here abit, before i cant touch any computer or connects with the cyber world for about 2weeks, and the academy is strict as i have to cut off my hair too, but im mental prepared.

KOREAN POP BAND, FT.ISLAND first visit to Singapore earlier this year in June, was very successful. And now they are back for the 2nd time for 2 more events. It have been confirm that they are coming in this coming November.
Local organizer has confirmed this good news, with details as follows:

Fans will be glad to know that tickets will be sold for public purchase (instead of limited tickets like previously), in packaged deal format.

Friday, August 28, 2009 Chang Korean Grill & Noodle, illuma [review]
Last week Real decide to give Willow and i a lunch treat, and i suggested to head down to Manna Korean Restaurant at Telok Ayer road (Chinatown) for an authentic korean meal, but we couldn't make it.
We were suppose to meet 1.30pm as Manna lunch hour is from 11am - 3pm, but he overslept again.
So i have to make changes again, and we decide to settle our lunch at the newly lauch korean restaurant at Illuma.
When we stepped into the restaurant, we were greated by a korean male attendant, the captain i suppose. The restaurant is surprisingly empty, which is different from their first outlet in Dempsey. We ordered 2 serving of bulgogi beef which includes a choice of kimchi fried rice(Kimchi Bokkeumbap) or Cold buckwheat noodles (yeolmu naengmyun) , 1 mix vege rice with spicy sauce (Bimbibap), 1 Spicy rice cake (deokbogi).
The attentive attendant that helps to cook the bulgogi at your table. The beef is very well marinated and i love the concept of cooking at your table. Although i don't know how authentic is their food, but i guess the attentive service they gave you will definately add flavours to it.
They frequently check whether the beef is serve warm, and they will re-heat it with the stove to maintain the tempreture.
KimChi Fried Rice (Kimchi Bokkeumbap)
Its first time Real and Willow trying the fried rice, and they kind of not used to the slightly sticky texture, as its kind of different from the chinese kind of fried rice where each grain are individually seperated. i myself tried cooking it at home with Maangchi's recipe and the texture is similar.
Spicy rice cake (deokbogi)
After the deokbogi from Su's Korean restaurant, this is another best deokbogi i tried in Singapore. No Doubt, give it a try.
Mix vege/beef rice with spicy sauce (Bimbibap)
The bimbibap here uses some veges where normally bimbibap won't served, but the usual bean sprout, cucumber, carrot, kosari, egg at still there. The overall taste are great and not affected by the additional veges, eventually add more moisture in terms of texture. They serve a jar of Hot Pepper Paste (Gochujang), which you can add the amount you tastebub takes.
The 5 sidedishes they served. The will refill as soon as you finished it.
Despite the empty tables around, where we were having a meal in between lunch and dinner, we have So Nyuh Shi Dae accompany us. ha
They were screening MusicCore and Inkigayo when we'r having meal there. What an enjoyable moment to eat with the accompany of snsd, 2ne1, kara, BEG etc.. All the pretty girls.
All 3 of us really enjoy the meal there, we will be back for the 2nd time soon. i guess.
Don't ask me the priced, as its a treat, i didn't notice the reciept lastly like what i usually did. Overall, Real said it was affordable and valuable.

Sunday, August 16, 2009 back from blog hiatus. Henderson Wave photos up.
after more than one month not touching my blog, as i always need to type a shitload of stuffs or else i feel like im just simply photo-bombing my blog and with the aid of twitter to post short massage, it just give me more excuses not to touch my blog.
but im still decided to continue blogging as i can still photo bomb here where i can't in twitter.
After our nation birthday, happy birthday by the way,
on the 10th, a few of us went on doing some photo shooting to brushes up our rusting skill.
we head up to Henderson Wave as i always wanted to go. Yj nicely prepared us sandwiches for the evening and we headed to Vivomart to grab watermelon for desert.
We follow the route from Mt Faber to Henderson Wave and the distance is about 20minutes walk, nice exercise to walk up-hill though. We chose to go the at 5plus as we able to take some day shots as well as night shots.
As its public holiday on the 10th, theres many crowd there, and i have no interests with people blocking my view as im taking pictures. Therefore, theres only 1 day time photo i could produce.

Sunday, June 28, 2009 FT Island, kpop band, Singapore trip coverage [PHOTOS]
the boys (younger than me), were here in Singapore for their concert showcase held at St James Power Station on Saturday. They reached Singapore around 10+pm +8GTM on 250609. With the H1N1 invading the world, the boys wore mask for protection therefore you could see them in the facemask.
The popularity of FTI in Singapore shouldn't be under-estimated. The amount of Fans that attend the arrival at Changi Airport is beyond what i thought. fangirls wearing bits of sunshine yellow (official colour for FTI) and some even painted their nails yellow.

Fan chanting while waiting could also be heard, singing parts of Shinee - 누난 너무 예뻐, 2PM - Again & Again,10점 만점에 10점 and SUJU - Sorry Sorry proved that kpop market still stand a chance in Singapore.
This must be their happiness day maybe in 2009, i dare not assume in their whole live. Might be their first time seeing their idol. After all the waiting, some waited for almost 6hours or more to grab a better spot to see, the moment arrived and all the fangirls screams.

couldnt take a good shot as most of the girls were standing on the barricade, but i do understand they wanna get up close to their idol. If it wasn't that my sister need companion to go, i guess i wasn't able to do this coverage.
Wanting to go for the showcase, after being a fan of their music for quite sometime, but i still end up never went for it as i couldn't imaging i was in the middle of the fangirls with the screaming.

Thats the end of the FTI trip to Singapore, with the huge amount of supporters, we do hope theres more chance to bring in more korean pop music / artises to Singapore.
